I think that it is debatable whether or not lelouch is still alive. Personally i think he lives because who else would CC be talking to? I think he became immortal like CC.

i think he is alive
i watched the anime 3 times already
and i think i'm going to do it again XD
the last 2 times i watched it very carefully and with attention
there are some clues that can connect u to the coclusion that he IS alive
i also searched for cg r3...i think they'll make it XD

i forgot where i read this, but in random places in the anime you see C.C. talking to "herself" but she's actually talking to Marianne. I think Lelouch is wherever Marianne was when C.C. was talking to her. My memory is a little bad sorry i don't remember the middle parts of the anime well, only the ending

I found a forum where they were also debating whether lelouch is still alive or not.
They were saying that the code his father had was passed unto to him [lelouch].. coz a person who has a code, for example CC, will not die unless he/she has passed it to someone else.. and also that the code would not activate unless the new owner of the code die first.. just like what happened to CC when the code was passed to her.. the nun who gave her the code killed her. And after CC woke up after getting ‘killed’ she found out that she has the code and had become immortal..
well i kind of agree with that… feel free to give your own suggestions..

I think there is no real proof that lelouch is still alive but the possibility exists.
In other forum i read he killed his father and got his code but did really lelouch kill his father or the old gods lelouch "asked" for help?
This is an example i couldn't really agree with all the proofs he is still alive.
I also read in another forum an "official" comment (can't proof if it was a real) which said he is dead for sure.

I actually hope he is dead.
If it turns out he is actually alive it would take away a lot from the ending.

I think he's probably alive, but it doesn't much matter because if he so much as showed his face again it would destroy the world order.

i love this question. i find it in almost every forum post on animes that i've visited. i would like to think that he is alive but i think for the sake of the story, it would be better if he was dead. my preference was based on the fact that i was really attached to the series and especially him so to see him die in the end for the sake of restoring 'hope' to the world was so touching yet sad!

Its better for him to die. He looks cooler that way.

if he were alive that would kinda cheapen the epicness of his death in r2
oh yeah and they're planning a new season for geass apparently no lelouch so...
