So i just picked up SSFIV. Well, it's no Blazblue. It's taking me a little while to get used to this style of play in a fighter, I am maining Ibuki, just cause she is a ninja and ninjas are badass. My problem is this game is so special move heavy. Shotos just spam fireballs wait for you to jump in an shoryuken you out of the air, rinse and repeat. Kinda gay. Oh well, I will work on my skillz and rock them eventually. Anyone else have SSFIV? Who do you main, did you play SFIV first?

I am much more partial toward BB. The fighting is much faster and more fun. The online play of SSFIV is xx vs sagat/Ryu and they just hadouken spam nonstop.

Agreed don't forget the shoryuken when u try to jump in. BB is still the best fighter available, hands down.

eLPointe, you might just need to adapt to SF more than what you do Blazblue, since the game's a bit slow-paced and focuses more on patience and timing to pull off moves and combo strings rather than your typical rush down. It's more strict compared to Blazblue, but also more rewarding once you get the hang of it. It'll all come to you in due time. All it takes is a bit of patience. Also do not forget, just the simplest of normal moves play a big significance in SF.

You use Ibuki, correct? Ever tried sliding underneath fireballs with one if Ibuki's lows? Or tried baiting their shoryus if they are up close then punish them for it with one of Ibuki's crazy target combos?

I quit SSFIV and went back to my glorious BlazBlue. Once you get to a higher level of play 2k+ in player score or whatever. All it became is shoto's spamming fireballs and uppercuts and doing the most retarded wake up games to you, so basically when I am knocked down and am getting up because SSFIV doesn't have a roll function the opposing player can literally sit on top of you and make you play rock paper scissors on what to do when ur getting up. just stupid really. And yes I know about teching for quick get up but when u get thrown which a lot of shoto's do your ef'd.

I miss blazblue .

I've been playing a tonzo of SSFIV lately. I main with Sakura (Yeah @_@) and sub with Juri.

I find that Sagat is almost entirely unbeatable for me, and Ryu is almost as bad. Sakura can't spam Hadous as fast as either of them, and each of Sagat's attacks do about 3 times as much as hers! The biggest issue I have with the game is character balance: there's about 8 competitive characters out of a total of 35 @_@.

Baiting uppercuts is easy though. Stand above a downed opponent and then press back just as they're getting up to do a desperation shoryuken. You're be able to get a free grab attack or combo in on them!

Sorry to hijack the thread here but which of the two street fighter 4 games should I get? I understand that super street fighter 4 is supposed to be better but am I missing much from the original if I jump accross to super street fighter 4 like that?

i main cammy on ssf4 and blazz blue rock, but i mlike em both, different styles akes it more chalenging

Your not missing anything, Super has more characters + it just feels better, and has more features for Multiplayer.
