I want to hear your thoughts on this match up. This isn't just some ordinary battle, it's a battle of wits between one of anime's greatest detectives, Jimmy (or Shinichi) Kudo against one of the greatest anime villains of all time, Light Yagami. Now I know Light is capable of killing off Jimmy with just a sheet of paper and a pencil, but would Jimmy really be that simple to kill without figuring out the identity of Kira?

It's something that bothers me. We all know how L fared up against Light, but could Jimmy Kudo could have done better?

Anyway, discuss.

I vote Kira. It'll all end up the same and it's because of the simple fact that people can't fathom the idea of magic existing.That goes with all Detectives though. They try to solve any outlandish case with human logic because the cops can't catch a Death God, nor can a judge prosecute someone without definitive proof. In my opinion, putting Kira one v one against any detective is stupid; Unless they specialize in the occult or something. I've only watched a little bit of Case Closed, but to my knowledge the only supernatural thing in the series is the fact that he was changed into a kid and it can be reverted with a pill. Maybe Phoenix Wright has a chance? Ushiromiya Battler? I don't know.

yup Raito would win for the reasons mentionned above but also the way it ended for Kira was 'pure luck' from N & M (when they catched the reporter)...

so basicly Kira shouldn't have been caught. And would never be

I actually think they're quite different. This is a genius detective on par with sherlock holmes and yours is a superpowered human.

hmm normally I take my friends side instantly (ie you ) but I dunno this is pretty different.

Just because it has light in it doesn't mean it was copied. Even if the idea was developed from viewing your thread, the content in itself isn't the same as yours.

question, will light ever imagine that a 10 year old is actually not a 10 year old boy..........it seems more far-fetched than the existence of death gods..........& wht will he write, Conan???.........now that won't work now will it............+ Light died, Conan still lives (just how many eps again, oh yeah 600+, not 2 mention movies, OVAs etc)........so Gods favor Conan more than Light............
