Today's poll actually doesn't have a poll, seeing as there are so many badass characters that if I listed the few I know and consider to be badass, then most likely the vote would be 90% for other, so please just feel free to post your vote.

For me the choice wasn't too hard.

Reasoning: Fighting for a better future, giving morale raising speeches, never giving up, and always aiming toward the heavens makes Kamina a very respectable and badass character in my opinion (plus the glasses add 100 badass points, and they would on anyone).
Other candidates I considered included Simon, Itachi, and Captain Falcon.

And remember, today's poll is for badass male anime characters. Don't worry though, the females will get their turn soon enough.

My choice is Alucard from Hellsing. From the manga of the same name and Hellsing: Ultimate (the TV series never existed, pay no attention to it)

that goes without saying Itachi's always been the best but some other potential candidate would have been L , Yagami Light, Cpt.Hitsugaya Toshirou, Layfon Alseif (koukaku no regios)

I would probably have to say Hei or Yagami Light. Hei because he's Hei and Yagami because of his intellectual skill. Honorable Mention: Hayate, L, Kamina, and probably a few more that I can't think of

Well seen as I don't watch many shounen anime, this has been a bit of a difficult topic to consider.

Alucard was my first thought, but after thinking a while, I've decided on... Walter.


Whilst he's not as all out brutal as Alucard, his sophisticated style and elegance in being a badass is untouchable in my opinion. (Bare in mind I've only seen up to OVA 3).

So, yeah. My 'most badass' male is Walter, who brings a bit of class to proceedings...

He's from "Baccano!" I will warn you it's a bit gory although I hear that if you liked Durarara then you'll like Baccano! too seeing as they're from the same director or artist.... I forget :\
