Post your favorite anime villain and please explain what makes him/her likeable to you.

I don't know if I have a favorite villain myself. :P
In my younger days I liked a few villains from Yu-Gi-Oh, but not so much anymore. If you consider Light Yagami or L as a villain I might be able to say one of them is my favorite (once I finish watching Death Note and form my final opinions then I can say for sure). I also found Itachi from Naruto quite admirable, possessing the power to kill almost by just looking at someone.

Itachi is not 'villain' at 100% but well.. look at my sig lol
Pain not bad too

Yagami is awesome but idiot.. could have avoid loads of thing
L is not villain

i'd like to precise that Pain thought of himself as a god and Yagami Light too lol ... strange :D B)

Male: I think it is still Vegeta from Dragonball.
He was really awesome when he turned into Majin Vegeta :)

Female: Asakura Ryokou
I loved her in The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi.
Only go up to 3-hit combos on normal people!

Keith Anyan (Terra e....) It was interesting to watch this character develop over time...
