Just a quick poll to gauge thoughts on the snow effect on the main page. If you are suffering problems, voting in the poll is the best way to let us know, as we'll remove the effect if too many people are suffering lag problems.

The snow will definitely be on the site closer to Christmas though.

If you have any comments on the snow effect, feel free to comment in here in addition to voting.

Slowdown when navigating the main site, it's not too severe for me - and it's got a lot better since Methax reduced the number and speed of the snowflakes - but quite a few users have said that it's been pretty harsh on their lower-end computers.

Yes it is laggy as hell!! Well on my cousins old ass ancient WinXP lol, but on my laptop it's all nice and dandy, so I can cotton with that. Though Shouldn't the snow be added near X-Mas instead of now? I don't mind :3

It's not that bad. I get a little lag, but surprisingly not as much as expected given the relatively low specs of my netbook.

Why don't we make an option to de-activate it or make it snow only for a certain banner :P ? actually an anon on the chatroom gave me this idea and could we have a fire ashes effect for shana :D ? it'd be AMAZING! xD

its okay ~ pretty lag ( rarely though ) why not put it as an option ? ( im not really into those things because i like plain & simple things )
