I'd be more active with IRC. I'm just a leecher who occasionally pops by to post. :D

Anyways I only stopped in this thread because my site uses mibbit for IRC, it's free and they host the channel. If you guys are looking into IRC take a look into it.

I know mibbit... I personally use mIRC as I have quite a few places I'm involved in. Overall irc's are easy to manage, I hope this idea progresses further. (anyway I can help just let me know)

I'll join as long as there is a XDCC bot in the channel that has the most recent AnimeSenshi AVI re-encodes :popcorn:.

I doubt there will be an XDCC bot immediately, if the channel is set up.

I'd still join the channel, the xdcc bot would just be an extra incentive for me to idle on the channel.

Okay, how about giving the irc-channel another try by adding it to the website/forums using qchat? You can simply integrate it with an iframe, e.g.:

<iframe src="http://qchat.rizon.net/?channels=animesenshi&uio=d4" width="647" height="400"></iframe>


The advantage is, that the user can directly enter the irc-chat without having to install anything and you could even place it as widget in your sidebar on your mainpage, just like you did with chatango.

Just a suggestion.

I think irc is a great idea with how things are now, ill stay in the irc as long as its up.
