For those who watched the original animation, how do you guys like the remake (which follows the manga this time)?

So far the beginning seems to be the same. Pretty boring atm, but I guess it's cause I've already seen everything Hopefully the new/alternate manga version stuff starts picking up soon, as I have heard it is very different and perhaps much better.

I haven't watched FMA for years, so it's kind of nice rewatching it. I really do hope the deviate from the first anime or there really wasn't a point in "remaking" it.
In the meantime, I guess i'm content :3

For some reason, so far I don't like the remake as much as I liked the original series. Maybe it's just because it feels more rushed than the original, which is to be expected if they plan on introducing manga material anytime soon. Hopefully the new storyline will come up within the next few episodes and turn what is currently a recap of the original series into something new and refreshing.

It's not as deep to me as the original, I was very connected to the characters in the original series very quickly, this one however is moving rather quickly, but I love it nonetheless.
Just watched ep 12, gotta say it's getting great again, I'm feeling what the characters are going through, hopefully it continues to be as great as it is right now.

Well, I enjoy the fact that you are seeing diiferent angles of something you've seen before; it's the same situations, but they alters scenes just enough to make it different. However I was not prepared for episode 10 (in the original series, we had so much more time!!! (episode 25) :'( ) But it seems to be that we're getting to the part that it's going to branch of to follow the manga ^~^ But yeah, I quite like it so far

I kind of liked the new version it was a little slow at first because of all the same content, but it started to pick up and I think I might enjoy this version better then the last.

Yeah! I really did not think that would have happened so soon. Took me completely by surprise.

i think it will be ok, but the people who loved the old version might be a little disappointed, not because the new anime is not good, but because it is different.

I think it's satisfying, but the new animators aren't as good, and the storyline goes too fast for me, I personally liked the fillers. :<

Newest episode (14) just went off track from the old anime and onto manga, seems like it'll get a bit more interesting now.

I am hoping for the best I am intrigued at what all they can do with the series. I do like the higher quality of the visuals too.

Yup, that episode was awesome though. King Bradley... Just so cool.
