Yes the end of another year of anime and of course that brings the end of anime as you know it for 2011.
Of course with all the new anime that was produced during the year, it had winners and losers.
These are the anime that I had watched and my picks on what was great and what was sub-par.

I picked 2 or 3 winners and losers from each of the 4 anime seasons releases, if you wondering how I picked the anime.
Also I only picked the anime that I HAD watched so if I didn't say your favorite anime as a winner or your hated anime for the losers, you know why (or I had watched it and it wasn't worthy of being called either.)

The Winners:

Kimi ni Todoke S2 (brought a nice closure to the series)
Gosick (very interesting and entertaining mystery anime series)
Mitsudomoe S2 (some say not as funny as the first season but I still feel it was a riot!)
Ao no Exorcist (exciting and well thought out story)
Deadman Wonderland (hoping there will be a season 2 for this next year!)
Steins;Gate (great sci-fi story with characters that are very likeable)
Nurarihyon no Mago S2 (even better then season 1, I think they took this to a new level)
Mayo Chiki! (a funny "trap" story that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside)
Mirai Nikki (a crazy woman that loves you to death!)
Fate/Zero (an awesome prequel for an awesome series)
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukenai (hilarious ppl without friends learning how to make friends)

The Losers

Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!! (horrible art and horrible story with uninteresting characters)
Rio:Rainbow Gate (the lady luck of gambling rolled snakes eyes on entertaining)
Yumekui Merry (had hoped that it would be good but the nightmare was the series)
Hidan no Aria (missed the mark with this series, seemed like the story part wasn't too thought out)
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko (cute girl wrapped in a futon, rest of the series just as pointless)
Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai (they tried too hard to make this work)
Ro-Kyu-Bu (lolis playing basketball )
Kamisama Dolls (series didn't really make much sense)
Maken-ki! (story got lost in the fan service)
C3 (it could have been really good but just something was missing)
Mashiro-Iro Symphony (seemed anticlimactic after he picked the girl)

Kamisama Dolls. Gotta agree with that. (and i think hibino's boobs are an eye sore. )

Have to totally disagree on Gosick. Had to skip it after I got really bored to death already at episode 3. For me it's one of the biggest losers this year. On the other hand is Un-Go, what Gosick could have been, so I would take Un-Go along with [C]: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control, Ao no Exorcist and Phi Brain on the winners list. Kaiji surely was better than the rest, too, but to be placed on the winners list, his name should have been Akagi The rest was the usual stuff one can watch but don't really has to.

out of them all youve listed i watched Ao no Exorcist which i enjoyed up until the last few episodes and then i tought it wasnt as good as it could of been, im really enjoyin Mirai Nikki at the moment and Deadman Wonderland was one of my favs and loved the OVA, and also hoping for a 2nd season

Winners
Madoka★Magica (Winter) - An unexpected story featuring the darker side of being a magical girl.
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (Spring) - Emotional story of a group of friends and a girl who died.
Mawaru Penguindrum (Summer) - I'm only halfway through watching at the moment, but so far it has been enjoyable. Fate has funny ways of working.
Mirai Nikki (Fall) - Thriller with plot twists and twisted characters.

Losers
Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai (Spring) - A story that tried to be psychological at the last minute.
Horizon (Fall) - Plot heavy with names and terms that are not easily remembered or well explained.
