This is your reason for not choosing HotFile and/or MediaFire?
Hotfile is very quick to delete copyrighted files. MediaFire isn't slack either, and has a 200mb limit, which would rule out any encodes that break the limit. Mediafire has been considered for use, but we have decided against it.

Yes all future downloading should be made for YOUR convenience.....
I say we just accept what they put up for us and you either use it or you go else where.
I plan on sticking around here and enjoying what they provide for us and not bitch about it.

Okay fine I get it, no HotFile or MediaFire.
What about NetLoad or SendSpace then?
I get 1-2 megabytes per second download speeds on those two DDL sites as well.

I don't know what reasons the staff has to choose/not choose a hoster. I remember either Neopode or Methax mentioning that Mediafile was not acceptable long ago. I really think they do have their reasons for uploading on what hoster ever they choose.
By the way the sentence you quoted has nothing to do with your special request on these two hosters but was a direct reply to the way Kirakami was trying to "persuade" the staff on using his preferenced hosters. There is a great difference by gently asking for hosting on specific sites like you did and the way he did. For the moment he is no staffmember, so he shouldn't tell them what's safe or not especially when it's obvious he doesn't has a clue of legal problems one could get with uploading stuff he hasn't got the copyright on, so even if he want's to tell them what he thinks to be safe he just can't use the word "we" and pretend that his opinion is law himself.
At least I think it's a good sign that caboose asked to delete the completed anime section to rebuild it from scratch, so I'm pretty optimistic that the chaos is about to fade away and the staff already decided on how to proceed or is about to decide it and therefor has already choosen their future OCH(s).
@Kirakami: I hope you're not serious in your wish to convert from already loss quality mkv to more loss avi back to even more loss mp4?! At least directly convert mkv to mp4 then to stay with at least a minimum on quality.

Could we at least have some other link back like fileserve or others who are start to come back after a long absence. It start to be difficult to download because its very slow especially from FileVelocity, Uploaded and the Bulletupload.
It annoy me since it take too much of my quota for a single file. I have to take one or two giga to fully download. 'This is what I experience recently'

OK just to clear this up I retired from the uploading staff, so i haven't been taking part in the discussion on new hosts. Don't really have the upload speed needed to upload anime anymore and was just getting by before due to flash uploading on megaupload. I just suggested setting the completed anime sub-forum as invisible so we don't get a bunch of requests to fix broken links until everything gets sorted out. Honestly I'm not sure if the completed section is even going to be rebuilt as most people don't show much interest in it, staff and members alike.

Wha...?! You retired? Noooo!
Never thought I could use this pic again, but...

Well, at least I hope you stay in this forum, since you got me to some real good anime I'd probably had never watched else.
