Well, the only time I watch anime in a marathon style is if I let the anime pile up on me. Missing a couple weeks worth of episodes.
I don't have the luxury to go through AnimeNewsNetwork and find a new anime to watch, as I've seen all the ones that hold an interest to me.

Most I ever watch at once is about 3 episodes. Usually it's just a single episode in one sitting.

Well at first I used to only watch a couple of episodes of each series each day to make it last, but that has changed to marathon style especially on older series. Right now in the middle of a marathon watch of Eureka Seven (50 episodes+1 movie that I have to watch).
I usually plow through them while I am on my days off but on a work day I'll watch 2 or 3 episodes.
As for the newer series, I usually try to wait til I get them all to watch but that isn't always true either since I started watching Mirai Nikki before it was finished airing.
My pattern is no pattern!!!!

I very specifically limit myself to a couple episodes per sitting, and only sit down to watch any anime every couple of days. I absolutely love anime and when it ends I feel a part of me dying. That's not something I'm in a hurry to feel, so I take my time and enjoy what there is.

I try to watch in a marathon style, and normally watch at a friend's house since I don't have a big screen at my house. I do watch marathon, but anime like Highschool DxD, Another, and Persona 4 are the ones keeping me away from my normal marathon viewing.

Lately I've been doing it on a reward basis.....
Finish a homework/school assignment, watch an episode.
Finish 3 house chores, watch an episode.
Just finished up a series that way

Yeah I used to marathon back when i was in college, now it is 2-5 episodes after work along with some gaming and watching normal tv shows.
On weekends though i'll still marathon a bit, but only 10-15 episodes and not the 25-30 i'd do a day back in college.

I watch marathon style on completed animes series i haven't watch on week ends. While watching the new episodes that comes out every week during the week days. (So like one or two episodes a day).
Though I'm not watching a lot as i used to.......i guess, like everyone else were all busy with life.

I generally try to watch at least 2 episodes a day. During summer and winter I might marathon a few anime.

When watching from DVD, than i prefer marathon style.
And in comp i usually watch 1-3 ep's on time.
In comp i don't have as much time so that's why no marathon style in comp.
Althought i like marathon style, but sometimes it's nice to watch episode here and there.
