Why do you rewatch anime if you have already watched it once?

Does the story move you that you feel compelled to rewatch it again?

Is it so complicated that you feel that you missed something the first time?

Or your really really picky with anime that you don't have any other anime to watch that will make you happy?

Or is it some other reason?


I, for one, rewatch anime from time to time but usually there is some time between when I first seen it to when I rewatch it.
The reasons for when I do rewatch an anime, it is usually I will run across something that will remind me of it (like a screenshot/review/gif/etc) and it will make me want to watch it again.
It is only reserved for anime that I really liked though.

Same here, I only rewatch if I really liked the series and it's been a while since I watched it. I still haven't rewatched Seto no Hanayome, and that was the first anime I watched. And the greatest. Oh, Hanayome...
I also rewatch anime when someone reminds me of it on a forum or something ;D

ill rewatch an anime whenever i have a good amount of free time and there are no other shows that im currently watching (which hasnt been the case for awhile). the only animes i deem worthy of a rewatch are ones that had me thinking things like "damn, i wish it wasnt over" or "now this is why i watch anime!" after finishing it. the only time i ran into an anime where i had to rewatch just to fully understand the story was higurashi no naku koro ni.

animes that i deem rewatch worthy:

bakemonogatari
arakawa under the bridge (x bridge)
higurashi (kai)
haganai
ore no imouto
sayonara, zetsubou sensei

there are more but those are my favorites

I rewatch shows for a number of reasons but the most often used on is that the series is just a fun watch.
For me rewatches aren't overly complicated or deep. They just make me smile or make me laugh.
Such series include one outs, skip beat, Kekkaishi, Major.
sometimes i'll rewatch the entire show, while other times it will only be a few episodes.
I often do this when i want to watch anime, but just don't feel like rolling the dice on a new show

From time to time i'll rewatch a series cause it's complicated and i want a refresh on the story or if there
is a sequel coming out and I watched the original a while ago, but this isn't that often.
