If you’re going to get caught… torrent or DDL it the same thing, your IP remains recorded in the DDL site as well as it is read in the torrent downloader. Unless you’re a super hacker and have the ability to hide beyond a million proxies etc. We are all tracked in the end.

Damn if you’re not pumped after this episode you’re not suppose to be watching anime. I’ve completely forgotten about life, and really focused on how freaking brilliant this series is (well awesome, more or less). That’s the kind of thing I’m really looking forward to in reading a book or watching a move/television series.
I don’t know if it’s the real reason, but .avi files regardless of definition will play on computers with less power, such as old laptops, than either .mkv or hi-def .mp4 files. I’ve never managed to do it, but I’m also told you can transfer an .avi file to disk in such a way that it will actually play on a DVD player hooked to a regular TV.
Waiting for any format that’s 480p.

@Dokidoki 480p encodes aren’t going to happen unless the sub group does it for us. AVI is specifically formatted for PS3, which is where majority of the request come from. However, the resolution of the AVI encodes are 720×400, so you should be able to play them just fine.
You could also look into buying a television media player that can play mkv files.

Torrenting is more dangerous, thats why. lol. You can get slapped with a DMCA violation. If you dl directly, much much less chance of that.

MP4 is better from the AVI format and supports 720p.
MP4 is also playable with Playstation 3 unlike MKV
DMCA would apply to US-based copyright infringement and a show rip from Japanese TV would not incur that.

Actually if you have VPN and a Seedbox in a country that wont extradite to the US and has laid back copyright laws your 99% safe.

I should have stated, “The AVI encodes are specifically encoded for PS3.” I don’t want anyone to think AVI are only for PS3 or something….
